Plastic waste is everywhere, we are eating plastic, drinking plastics, breathing plastics. Every one minute more than 2 trillion plastic bottles are sold, half of them from Asia, and Indonesia ranked 2 below China's biggest polluter.

Today the term of the circular economy comes up every time. In the old linear economy, the product cycle is from the Manufacturing or create to use phase, and then at the end, the product will be disposed of as a Waste Material. But this old linear economy, harms the earth, not all we produce are Biodegradable. In a circular economy, product life is like a cycle. From the manufacturing process to use phase and then dispose of, we still can recycle and reuse it as many as it can. Policymakers around the world are looking to achieve a more circular economy, reducing the number of new resources needed to sustain the economy and minimize the waste produced.

What is Plastic Finance?

Plastic finance offers an environment, social and governance also called E.S.G theme investing using cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. 1 PLAS token at public sale price equal to 10 kg per year carbon dioxide and approximately 6.4 tons per year of recycled plastic. By recycling Plastic Finance help carbon emission as some fixed amount of profit proceed to greenify initiative like planting teak trees in the need area of decarbonization.

Plastic Finance empowers plastic waste collectors through cooperative and DeFi by giving them financial inclusion and access to education. Every 50 tones per hour recycled, it takes 50 people in the supply chain. Plastic Finance aims to recycle 80,000 to 2,16,000 tonnes of plastic grinds per year by the end of 2023.

Blockchain technology and stable coins can play great roles in incentivizing every household and MRF to streamlines the funding of the plastic recycling industry. Using a smart contract, we can tokenize each type of plastic regrinds and pellets, create an internal exchanger, so people and industry can have easy access to monetize the plastic waste, plus blockchain gives more transparency to each plastic industry supply chain. In Addition, we can create a DeFi Dapps (decentralized finance, decentralized application) so the waste can be collateralized as assets.

Plastic Finance Vision

Using blockchain and DApps, Plastic Finance can streamline recycling business flow and empower the scavengers so they get better treatments for their hard work. Plastic Finance will create an app that scavengers can use to sell their waste to MRF, exchange it with cash or store it as an asset in the form of grind’s stable coin which can be collateralized in our DeFi platform.

What is PLAS Token?

PLAS is the native token of the Plastic Finance ecosystem. PLAS is created to fund the Recycling projects and serves as a governance and ownership token to get protege dividends or profit-sharing from recycling and DeFi transactions, Internal Exchange spreads.

Plastic Finance will collect 5% fee from plastic regrinds internal exchanger spread price, and 0.175% fee from saving withdrawal or loan payment transaction in the DeFi platform. All of these fees will be pooled in a wallet and using a smart contract, can be distributed regularly.

Plastic Finance collects 60% of net profit yearly from the cooperative recycling business. In turn, Plastic Finance will distribute the fees and the profit-sharing as dividends to PLAS holders.

Profit-Sharing Scheme

Plastic Finance shares 10% of our dividend profit to greenify project per ton per day regrind recycle can be channeled for seed plant purchase 500-1280 teak trees, which amount to 10Kg of CO2 absorption per year per tree.

Plastic finance through its MRF takes the circular economy flow one step further by dedicating a fixed amount of tree planting (working with certified planters organization such as SINERGI FOUNDATION) program for each amount of plastic recycled so that the token holder will simultaneously address 3 problems at the same time namely plastic waste recycle, scavenger community & financial inclusivity and carbon-absorbing through tree planting

One tree can contribute to Co2 absorption of 10Kg per year, so the initiatives will contribute to the potential Decarbonization of 21.000-40.000 tons CO2 over 3 years of operation.
